Thank you for supporting us! Learning to play an instrument can be hard and expensive. From paying for the actual instrument to lessons, it can be quite hard on the wallet. There are other ways to figure out lessons, like watching YouTube videos, but having something more interactive is so much nicer. Rocksmith bridges that gap. This is a game created to help teach guitar and piano in real-time. You can use your favorite songs and give feedback on the fly. And the follow-up to the 2014 release is officially coming to Steam next month! Rocksmith+ will be making its way to Steam on June 6th, allowing us to learn to play from our PC all over again. While the 2014 version does the job, the new version sounds significantly better with a more readable and modern UI that makes it nicer to look at and see your performance. New subscribers to the service will be able to try it for free as well, making it a great way to see if this way of learning works best for you. To play guitar on PC, you will need the Real Tone Cable, which goes for about $24.99 on Amazon, and it allows you to connect to your computer via USB. You can also connect your guitar via your phone using the Rocksmith tuner app. For Piano, you can use a Wired MIDI interface or the microphone of your computer. With how easy it is to wirelessly connect to the computer and game, or even using the Real Tone Cable, which just requires a USB port, it seems like playing this on the Steam Deck would be very possible. Imagining taking the Steam Deck around with a guitar to practice and learn on the go sounds like such a cool concept. You will need a dock to give the Deck USB ports, but it will be cool regardless! I loved RS14 because of the song library which RS+ completely failed on RS+. I payed for RS14 on PC and Steam discontinued it so they could charge me a yearly fee for a sub-par song selection. No thanks I'll sick to my console version of RS14, they can't take that one away from me
